I think it should be a rule that if you are packed like sardines on a
elevator that you’ve been waiting for for 10 minutes, the person who
gets off at floor 2 should be kicked in the ass on their way out. Maybe
floor 3 also. Sound fair?
Or taking something heavy or bulky up several floors. But generally I’m with you on this. I find it super-irritating when I’m using the elevator to transport something heavy (I take the stairs otherwise) and someone comes on (usually janitors, sadly) to take the elevator all of one measley floor.
Yeah, I’m going to agree with Phil. Most days, when I’m wearing clothing that covers my braces and I’m not using crutches, unless you really watch me walk or you know that I have a neurological condition, you don’t know that it’s really difficult and causes spasms for the next couple hours if I walk up stairs. I don’t get offended when someone tells me “there are stairs if you prefer” or something along these lines, but I do find it offensive when someone tells me “you gotta take the stairs” when the elevator requires a key or something. They don’t know why I’m asking for an elevator, don’t really need to know, and shouldn’t make assumptions.
Unless that person is on crutches or in a wheelchair. Show them where the stairs are. Have we really gotten THAT lazy?
ok i’ll allow the wheelchair-crutches caveat.

Some disabilities are invisible, so a hearty “fuck you” to you. You really think there’s insufficient social pressure not to take the stairs as it is?
thanks, fuck you too. and i think you mean insufficient social pressure TO take the stairs.

Being a pompous politically correct twat is not considered a disability so take the fucking stairs phil.
